AD Plant

Farmers are invited to join RASE for a demonstration day to look at options for farm scale anaerobic digestion (AD).

Wyke Farms and BioFactory, Somerset

9:30am to 3:30pm, Tuesday 11th June, 2024

The day will include a talk by Tom Clothier, production director and director of renewable energy at Wyke Farms. Tom will share the reasoning behind building an AD facility at Wyke Farms and his experience of setting up and running an AD facility, including how it fits alongside other aspects of the farm business. This will be followed by a tour of the AD plant and full explanation of the process.

After another presentation and a ploughman’s lunch in the visitor centre, attendees will use their own transport to head to BioFactory (30 minutes journey time), for a talk and tour of the factory, led by CEO Eoin Sharkey. This will include seeing how modular AD systems can be used on farm.

This event is being delivered by Innovation for Agriculture on behalf of RASE, funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation. This event is free for farmers to attend, but registration is essential as places are strictly limited. If for any reason you cannot attend, please contact Natasha on [email protected] as soon as possible, to ensure we can allocate your place to another farmer.
