Priorities for Research - Survey for Agricultural Universities Council

For the first time, universities across the UK have come together to develop a joint research strategy for agriculture. This will shape how we work and be shared with research funders.

We want to know your views on the priorities for agricultural research, through this short survey. How can research resources be targeted most effectively? And what role should universities play alongside other research providers?

The anonymous survey is for anyone with an interest in agricultural research, including farmers, advisors, business people, campaigners, policy-makers, journalists and researchers. It takes 10-20 minutes.

We would be most grateful if you could complete the survey by midnight on the 13th July.

The strategy is being developed by the Agricultural Universities Council (AUC), which represents 16 universities that teach and research agriculture. In a sector dogged by fragmentation and concerns over the impact of research, and at such a crucial and challenging time for farming, we hope that working together in this way is a welcome step. Other universities, and many specialist institutes and centres, also provide agricultural research. Some of these are already advising this project, and we invite others to join in. You can find out more about the AUC and this project here.
