Dr Martin Goodchild was the Principal Scientist and Company Secretary at Delta-T Devices Ltd. He is a Chartered Physicist, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering & Technology and a Fellow and Advisory Council member of the Institution of Agricultural Engineers. At Delta-T Martin focussed on soil moisture measurement technologies and has research interests in sensors and measurement systems across the soil-plant-atmosphere continuum, resulting in peer reviewed publications focussing on precision irrigation. Prior to Delta-T Martin spent periods working in academia, industry and technology consultancy delivering IP creation, technology exploitation and business development in a diverse range of industries including communication systems & medical devices. Martin is available to engage with multidisciplinary agri-tech research projects and has taken a Visiting Research Fellowship with the University of Bedfordshire.
